Wow! What a year, right?! For Christmas, my husband bought us tickets to see Rent at the Signature Theater, which was absolutely incredible and a great reminder. We can choose to measure the year in strife, anxiety, tears, and covid tests. Or we can measure it by books read, checklists completed, A’s on report cards, and love.
If you know me at all, you won’t be surprised which side I choose. Some may call me oblivious or naive. Let them. I actively look for the beauty, the helpers, the humanity. And I’m honored to capture just a little bit of it with my camera.
As in years past, I’ve selected my favorite portraits from each session of 2021 for this slideshow. They aren’t necessarily the “best” images from your session. Instead, they make me smile, or remember how hard we worked for it, or how it seems like I really captured the subject’s spirit/soul/personality with that one frame. I hope you see not only the love between family members but also that which went into creating each image.

Thank you, once again, for trusting me to document these moments of your lives.
I’m fully booked for spring 2022 sessions and will be opening for summer later this week and for the fall next month. Please reach out if you’d like to be added to the contact list. Fall 2021 clients will have priority for fall 2022 dates.
My favorite personal portrait from 2021 is this one from Labor Day weekend. We did our family photos on the beach. Got all dolled up and curled every piece of my hair until it was super bouncy, but as soon as we got set up, it started raining on us. We went with it, and we now have a new favorite family photo session!
Wishing you a 2022 full of love. xoxo, Becky
