Pulling these photos out of the September archives! When the Clarks asked me to photograph their family, I was elated! They are such fun neighbors and friends, and I adore their two little girls.
But thirty minutes before session time, thunder rolled! I obsessively checked the weather map and noticed that the rain was headed directly for us, but seemed to have stalled over the mountains, so I booked it down the street to their house and suggested we start off early. No need to wait for the sunset, when the sun was going to be blocked out anyway!
Luckily, they were ready to go and we got on our way! I am so thrilled that we did! The rain went around us and the skies cleared just as we were finishing up. I’m sure you can’t even tell that it was 90 degrees that evening! We were sweating buckets, but it was completely worth it.
I love capturing both the serious and silly photos, and this session shows the whole range. It’s so representative of my style that I couldn’t resist sharing them with you!
Love the white dresses with cowgirl boots!
Mom looks like Heidi Klum!!
LOVE the smooch!!!
It’s been a few months, and that one still makes me laugh!
If you like these photos, please “like” my Facebook page, too! I post there much more frequently than on my blog (but promise not to hog your news feed!).
If you’re thinking of booking a session, the wildflowers start popping up here in April, and I’m already booking sessions for the spring! Book early to ensure you get your choice of dates. They go fast! Here’s the link to contact me! 🙂
